Let's Celebrate Being Together!

Laurie emailed me awhile back letting me know that her family was going to be in town for a baptism. She was so very excited to have everyone together; she thought the gathering was worthy a photo shoot. When I arrived to their home, I was welcomed with laughter and open arms. I could feel the love within that family in the first five minutes I was there. With the DePhillips’ hosting such a large group in their home, I asked if they were also celebrating Thanksgiving that day. The man of the house responded, “Nope, this is just a baptismal celebration. We will be doing this all over again in a couple of days for Thanksgiving”. With turkey day here and gone already, it got me thinking about the meaning behind holiday celebrations…it is way beyond the celebration of a holiday or milestone…it is about love and health and support and happiness! Really, it’s a celebration of simply being together! To the DePhillips family, thank you for welcoming me into your home with such light hearts. You truly have a beautiful family to celebrate!
