After a session, I like to take the time to reflect on the client and their photos....thinking about what beauty they have brought into MY life. More often than not, I am always reminded of something good. Something REAL. That I can apply to my day to day.

This session was no exception. As I reflect on my dear friends Lori and Jason and their sweet new baby girl Lilly, I am reminded of just how precious and GOOD life is. Lilly is literally perfect. From head to toe. Such tiny and cute little details. And a head full of hair!

It's amazing when two beautiful individuals are brought together [in God's timing].  And when a genuine, hard working woman is blessed with a healthy pregnancy. Lori, Lilly is a mere reflection of the beautiful woman that YOU are.

Below is a poem that I came across that I feel represents the unconditional love and pride that Lori and Jason have for their new little girl.

Today...thank you for reminding me that....

I loved you from the very start…
You stole my breath and embraced my heart.

When I first saw your precious face,
I prayed your life be touched with grace.

I’m thinking of things you’ll want to know,
Like how birds fly and flowers grow.

I’ve thought of lessons I’ll need to share,
Like standing tall and playing fair.

Each night I’ll lay you down to sleep,
I’ll kiss your head and then your cheek.

I’ll count your little fingers and toes,
I’ll memorize your eyes and then your nose.

I thank the angels from above,
And promise you unending love.

I will linger at your nursery door,
Awed how each day .... I love you even more.

Through misty eyes, I’ll dim the light,
And whisper softly, “I love you” 

every night.
