Beyond Family - Best Friends

What does the word family mean to you? The word family means many things to many different people. For this special group of people, family means more than relatives. Family means more than just getting together once a year for that overwhelming Christmas dinner with a Grandma that talks too much and a cousins that drive you crazy. To them, family means shared values, shared dreams, and shared fun! Family means best friends.

No matter where this family is, they find innocent fun in all they do. You don’t hear of many families that choose to spend a long holiday weekend with one another…sharing space, sharing clothes, sharing bathrooms, even sharing beds…..all under one roof. This situation would drive most families mad.

Perhaps I AM biased because I married into this family. But one thing that I know for sure is that their concept of family is one that many envy, strive for, and some…never even get the chance to be a part of. And for that, I am so very thankful to be a part of this family.
