If someone would have told me five years ago I was going to be a dog lover, I would have laughed in their face. Growing up, the most serious pet I ever had was a cat, Buttons, who actually made me feel miserable due to allergies. Then there was my fish Purpy, who I ended up flushing alive because it had funny growths on it and I was bored with it (cruel I know). Then I moved in with Tyler…my husband….who kept persisting that we needed a dog. Finally, one day I gave in and said, “Ok, we can get a dog…..but I am not promising I am going to like it.” Boy was I wrong. I have to admit that Miss Nellie brings a smile to my day, no matter what kind of day I am having. She is always waiting by the door, waiting to greet me with kisses. What a blessing from God dogs are….man’s best friend. Loyal and loving for life! In honor of all of the dog lovers out there….let this be a friendly reminder to live OUR LIVES more like a dog!
