Not because I am nervous about writing on the conversation of adoption....but because I want my words [and photos] to do this family the beauty and justice they deserve.
A couple of months ago I got an email from Shelley & Chris, updating me on their adoption journey. They were in the process of building a family photo profile, to be viewed by potential birth parents.
Shelley stated that they wanted photos that would show the genuine love that they not only share as husband and wife, but also the love they have to offer and are eager to share.
How could I not JUMP at the opportunity to capture these precious moments for the two of them?
......And what an uplifting, beautiful experience it has been for me!
They magnitude of love that Chris & Shelley share is beyond measure. I am a firm believe that before one builds a family, one must build a strong & healthy marriage. After all, in the words of Shelley, "love MAKES a family".
Gosh.....what an act of love these two are embarking on in this adoption process. Chris & Shelley....thank you for choosing me to capture a part of this journey for you.
As you pray, and dream, and prepare, and wait, never forget the amount and love and support you have in your community, friends, and family.
I would be beyond thrilled to photograph your family of FOUR when that day comes! THANK YOU for reminding us what a precious and priceless gift LOVE is in this thing called life!
